Towards the end of last week, I received an email coupon from http://www.kidsbowlfree.com/ for free games on Saturday, so I thought that after the girls' theater workshops, we would stop in to Woodhaven Lanes for a while before we had to be at Oakwoods for their evening program.
I'll admit that in the past, I often tended to overlook bowling as something that we could do, as it always seemed so smokey in bowling alleys. With the new smoking ban in effect starting today, I decided to give it another try, and I'm happy to say that not only did the girls have a good time, but that there seemed to be a completely different atmosphere there today -- it just seemed more family friendly and oriented. The girls each bowled two games, and enjoyed fries, drinks and hot dogs (each only 75 cents), and seemed to really have a good time. I'm sure that we will be taking advantage of that program much more often this summer.
