The girls and I went to the Robert A. Vivian branch of the Monroe County Library for their Friday night showing of Planet 51. The cozy library, where we had previously seen UP!, was packed with people, be we somehow managed to squeeze in along with the girls' bean-bags (no sitting on the hard floor this week!).
I was kind of surprised that the movie had originally gotten such bland reviews because I thought it had just the right mixture of colorful action for the kids, and subtle Shrek-like adult humor mixed in too. OK, so the movie did not win any academy awards, but any movie that the girls talk about on the way home, and that I too have laughed at, really isn't all that bad in my eyes and built another long lasting memory that I'm sure we will remember for a long time.
