The Klauza family went to Oakwoods Metropark yesterday for a program on building bluebird houses. Bluebirds were once pretty prevalent in our area, but now, due to urban sprawl, much of the land where they once lived is now developed and the bluebirds have moved on.
We had a bluebird visit our yard a couple of times last spring, but he didn't stay. I think it was because we placed the houses amongst the trees and bluebirds like open areas. Hopefully we will have better luck with the new ones.
