To promote the performances of their theater group, the girls and some of the other cast members of Maplewood Children's Theater put on skits during Garden City's Downtown Days. The skits (video) were intended to pique the interest of the audience and entice them to come see the show. Afterwards they passed out fliers to promote the shows.
Because she is such an extrovert, I expected Riley to perform exactly as she did and wasn't in the least bit surprised when she actually volunteered to fill in for some of the other cast that didn't make it there. I was totally shocked by how Kennedy did though -- I really didn't expect her to be as vocal and as animated as she was. She sure is coming out of her shell, and that means that her participation in theater is accomplishing exactly what I hoped for.
After their performances, the girls walked around and enjoyed the available activities -- they played on the inflatables, participated in Minute to Win It (& won dinner at Albert's on the Alley) enjoyed the food, and beat on a car with a sledge hammer.
