Got very lucky...

While at the zoo today, a tornado apparently touched down just west of our house.  Fortunately nobody was seriously injured, but there was significant damage to quite a few homes from the reports that I saw on the news.   I found some of the debris from the homes is in my back yard.   Thankfully, we sustained no damage at all.   What is shocking to me is that the damaged homes are visible from my back yard, and just a block away.  The power of mother nature amazes me!
