The girls and I added to our Memorial day weekend adventures today with a little Lac De Chat geocaching, and by going to the annual Sumpterfest. I'm not a big fan of amusement parks -- it just seems that you spend a LOT of money, to spend a LOT of time waiting in line. If, on the other hand, you place me at a small carnival, then I'm very content. I guess that I have grown impatient in my older years.
With a growth spurt over the winter, Kennedy is now able to ride all of the carnival rides, which meant that either she or Riley didn't have to stand around and wait while the other one rode on a ride. It also meant that I was able to purchase a wristband for myself too and partake in the fun!
With its birds eye view of all of the festivities, I think that my favorite ride is still the Ferris wheel -- especially at night when all of the rides are aglow with their lights.
Adding to the excitement tonight was the festival's fireworks. It was the second show that we have seen in as many days, and this one is going to be hard to surpass -- it was fantastic.
Carnival fun, elephant ears, (carny folks) and fireworks.... what a great evening packed with fun!
