When it comes to comes to holiday events, activities & festivities, Easter has traditionally lack far behind both Christmas and Halloween in the number of things that are offered in most communities. I found this year however, that by looking hard enough, that there actually is a lot going on. Today we found egg hunt at the First Congregational Church in Rockwood, and had a great time.
The girls were treated to a short magic show and sermon, an egg hunt, a visit with the Easter Bunny, and ice cream sundaes.
It looks like all the geocaching that we do paid off for Riley, because while other kids were hesitant to leave the comfort off the grassy fiend, Ri ventured right into the wooded area and came out with her basked filled with eggs.
We had a great time ... treats, fun, and a gentle reminder that Easter is about more than candy filled eggs and the Easter Bunny.
