DYPAC Spring workshop - Riley (week 2)

Riley and Emily's second week of the DYPAC spring workshop was this afternoon, and while Kennedy and I didn't get to see any of the practice, the girls sure seem to be excited about it.   In fact, while driving Emily home, the girls listened to the CD from the workshop and when I asked questions about it, Riley said that she wouldn't tell me any more about it because it is much better than the winter workshop and she wants us to be surprised.   She did share some ideas that she had about scenes and elements of the production, but said that she didn't know if she felt comfortable telling Miss Mary about them.   I hope that she changes her mind because I can see that there is some passion building in her over it and I want to do everything to support that in her.   She seemed to really like the music selections in the workshop -- particularly My Strongest Suit from Aida, and has asked if we can go see it if it is playing anywhere nearby.

Both girls agreed that even after just one day, the dance moves are very complicated but seem to be eager for the challenge, and with the attitude that they have, I'm sure that they will do fine.
