I'm really enjoying this 1:1 time with Kennedy on Thursdays, and find myself looking forward to it throughout the day. Unfortunately, I knew that Kennedy's gymnastics session would be cut short today because Riley had a dress rehearsal at 7:30 for her upcoming musical, and lets face it, Trenton just isn't 'around the corner' from Westland. So, while I was prepared for a hectic evening, I wasn't prepared for the sad look on Kennedy's face when she had to leave early (I think she had her sights set on that third rope!) or when she said "Its not fair -- its always all about Riley" Oy!
I think that Riley was about seven when her 'social explosion' and eagerness to be involved in ... well, everything... took place. Maybe that is starting to be awakened in Kennedy too, and her comment is indicative of a desire to partake in more and more things. Just yesterday she made a comment about wanting to take piano lessons -- I will have to check into them for her.
