For much of the past 6 months or so, Kennedy has been asking if she could join a gymnastics program. After looking at many and talking with co-workers and friends who have their children in programs, I finally found one that offers recreational gymnastics without the competitiveness that seems to emanate from many of them. I am looking for some place for Kennedy to have fun and perhaps at the same time develop her grace, balance, poise, & agility. Yea, I know that its only the first day, but I think that I might have just found it at Michigan Academy of Gymnastics.
Kennedy seemed right at home, quickly made a friend named Sydney and after the class made several comments about how much she liked her coach because she kept encouraging her and complementing her. "It was like I was the star of the class dad! She kept saying 'good job' after everything I did and gave me lots of high-fives".
So much of the girls' extracurricular activities are programs that Riley has shown an interest in. Its great to have found something that Kennedy is excited about and really enjoys!
