A Klauza Christmas would be incomplete without a visit to one of our favorite places to share fun and friendship with some of our favorite people. I'm talking of course, about a trip to Oakwoods Nature Center to see Kevin, Roni, Leslie, Patrick, Jennifer, and naturally ... Santa.
With a fresh coating of snow on the ground, the girls and I headed to Oakwoods for their annual Sunday with Santa program. Cookies, cocoa, a sing-a-long, games, crafts, and a reading of T'was the Night Before Christmas all filled the morning before a visit with the big guy himself!
Because of an afternoon Christmas party, we were not able to stay and visit as long as we wanted, but the temptation of the new fallen snow was too much to resist, so on the way back to the car, we stopped and made a snowman on one of the trails.
What a great way to kick off our wintertime visits to Oakwoods.
