The girls, Kris (and the boys) and I headed out to Dahlem Center to visit with mom and Ron and have a picnic with her on her birthday. In addition to lunch, and birthday cake (ice cream would be later), we arranged for them to have a golf cart tour of the center led by one of their interpreters. It was a little on the pricy side, but she, Ron and the kids really seemed to enjoy it, so it was definately worth it. While they were on their tour, Kris and I spent some brother and sister time geocaching. We all met up at the gift store afterwards (big surprise huh?), then went to the Parlour in Jackson for the ice cream.
The kids all got a baby Dare to be Great (10 scoops of ice cream plus toppings!), while I got a HUGE banana split. Oh I tried my best, but I don't have any idea how anyone can possibly eat all of that!
