The girls and I really enjoyed the Great American Backyard Campout last year and were really looking forward to it this year. Unfortunately, we found out that the event we planned on attending at the Leslie Science Center was sold out. So, we decided to campout backyard instead.
After going to Willow Metropark to watch Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, we came home and had a fire in the backyard, told ghost stories,and then crawled into the tent. After a full day, it wasn't long before we were all asleep.
I think that we missed the folk singers, story tellers, and nature walks that were offered through the program at the science center, but we still had a great time.
