On a beautiful late winter day... the girls, their cousin Adam and I attended a program at the nature center about their resident red-tailed hawk and then set our sights on the cache.
The walk from the car was a little muddy, but the sunny & mild weather it made it very enjoyable after being cooped up in the house all winter.
Kennedy found the cache (in a very cool hiding spot), and set to plundering it while Riley signed the log. Adam, who was on his first caching experience, selected the always popular Victory Mike chain-mail keychain (which are gonna be harder to find with him and POTW's relocation), and Kennedy selected a jewelry set. We left an electronic Sudoku game and a beanie baby penguin (which should be at home in a winter solstice cache for about another month or so).
Thanks for another cache that reminds us just how fast the seasons go by.
