One of my favorite adventures of this summer was the National Wildlife Federations' Great American Backyard Campout at the Leslie Science Center.
We could have camped in the backyard, but the event at the science center included folk singers, a native American storyteller, night time nature hike, smores, and of course camping with the girls. My hopes are that next year, we can talk the folks at Oakwoods into hosting an event there. If not, we will definitely be back!
